Some part of us just wants to be seen. Not for what we do or how we perform, but for who we truly are. When that part goes unseen for too long, it starts screaming through people-pleasing, overachievement, and constant over-sharing. What if there’s a different way to be witnessed?
There was a time I couldn’t move forward without someone telling me I was on the right track. I needed feedback to feel confident. Praise to feel productive. Likes to feel loveable.
I could never trust what I was feeling or thinking and felt that my own words had weight only if someone else agreed.
And when the approval didn’t come, I spiraled. I questioned everything. I felt small. Forgotten. Unseen.
It took me a long time to realize: as long as my worth depended on someone else’s response, I’d never feel stable inside myself.
Why Validation Matters
Validation is how we first learn we exist. As children, it tells us we’re safe, acceptable, loved.
But if we only ever feel valuable when someone else reflects it back, we’ll spend our lives performing for mirrors.
Support is essential — but it has to start within.
What Happens When We Chase Validation Endlessly
We become approval addicts.
We post, we hint, we over-share — hoping someone will say, “You’re doing okay.” And when they don’t, we crash. We lose our inner compass.
When everything depends on feedback, we lose touch with our intuition. We don’t ask ourselves, “Do I approve of this?”We stay small to stay liked.
We don’t risk bold moves, truth-telling, or real visibility — because rejection might hurt more than invisibility.
Three Powerful Shifts Toward Self-Validation:
Create a daily evidence ritual.
Write down three ways you showed up powerfully today — even if no one noticed. Be your own witness.Pause before seeking feedback.
Ask yourself, “What do I think? What would I do if no one responded?” Let your own opinion lead first.Build a support system that reflects your growth.
Seek people who remind you of your truth, not your doubt. But remember — your voice comes first.

If you're still reading, you should know…
I write with a few unshakable beliefs. I believe you can create the life you deeply want — but only when you stop letting the outside world dictate your path. As long as media, family, or fear are driving your choices, something will always feel off.
I also believe you already hold the power to shift your life. Not by consuming more, but by becoming more aware — more embodied. Power comes from within, not from a course or a trend.
And finally, I believe the journey begins with knowing yourself deeply. Your energy, your wounds, your rhythms. Without this, you’re building on shaky ground.
If that speaks to you — welcome. If not, you might be better served elsewhere (and I say that with love).
